The Junk Sharks started right here in Ocala more than a decade ago with one simple idea: hauling junk shouldn't come with surprises. No mystery fees at the curb, no no-shows, no treating your driveway like a job site.

Lance & Haley Mosher

The Junk Sharks isn't a franchise, and there's no call center in another state routing your call. It's a family business — started by Lance and Haley Mosher and built one load at a time into one of the most trusted names for dumpster rental and junk removal in Ocala.

They still live right in the heart of Ocala, where they're raising their four kids. That matters more than it might sound. When the people who own the company are your actual neighbors — coaching your kids' teams, shopping the same stores, running into you at the ballfield on Saturday — "we'll take care of it" stops being a slogan and starts being something they have to live up to in person. Haley coaches volleyball at the kids' high school. Lance coaches in the area youth baseball league. The same show-up-on-time, do-it-right standard they bring to a team of teenagers is the standard they built the company on.

That standard is why The Junk Sharks does a few things the big national haulers won't. Every price is a flat rate you approve before anyone lifts a thing. Usable furniture and appliances get donated to local Marion County charities before anything heads to the landfill. Every dumpster is set down on boards so your driveway is protected, and every crew that pulls up is uniformed, background-checked, and drug-tested — because Lance and Haley put their own name on the side of every truck, and they're not about to send a stranger you'd worry about into your home.

What started as the two of them, a single pickup truck and a trailer, is now a team of 25 with a seven-truck fleet, serving homeowners, contractors, landlords and businesses across a 60-mile stretch of Central Florida.
