Effective August 22, 2026. This policy explains what The Junk Sharks Dumpster Rental ("we", "us") collects when you use thejunksharks.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are a locally owned dumpster rental and junk removal company at 2017 NE Jacksonville Rd, Ocala, FL 34470, with a second office at 2520 NW 74th Pl, Gainesville, FL 32653.

What we collect

Information you send us. When you book a dumpster, request junk removal, apply for a job, or contact us, the form asks for your name, phone number, email address, the service address, the size or service you want, preferred dates, and any notes or photos you choose to attach. That information is emailed to our office so a real person can schedule and quote your job.
Phone and text messages. If you call or text (352) 581-2576 or (352) 448-6230, your number and the content of the conversation are kept in our phone records so we can follow up on your request.
Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how visitors arrive. Google sets cookies for this purpose and processes the data under Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Embedded maps. Service-area and office maps on this site are embedded from Google Maps. Loading a map may set Google cookies in your browser.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

To schedule, deliver, swap, and pick up your dumpster, or to perform the junk removal you requested, and to send you confirmations, delivery windows, and invoices.
To call or text you about your request. By giving us your mobile number you agree that we may contact you by call or SMS about your booking or quote. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of further texts; reply HELP for help.
To answer questions, process job applications, and resolve problems.
To measure which pages and ads bring people to the site so we can improve it.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We do not share your phone number or mobile opt-in with third parties for their marketing.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. This site is for adults booking a service.

Who we share it with

Only the people and services needed to do the job: our own crews and office staff, the email and hosting providers that deliver your form to us, our payment processor when you pay an invoice, and disposal facilities when a load requires a ticket in your name. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Booking and invoice records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and warranty purposes — generally several years. Job applications are kept while the position is open and for a reasonable period afterward.

Your choices

Ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing info@thejunksharks.com or calling (352) 581-2576. We will respond within 30 days.
Block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
Opt out of texts by replying STOP at any time.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted to our email. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so please do not send payment card numbers through a web form — we will take payment through a secure channel.

Client portal

Our customer portal at portal.thejunksharks.com is a separate application with its own login. Information you enter there is used to manage your account and invoices with us under the same principles described here.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on this page for at least 30 days.
