Marion County is a big, fast-growing county, and new construction, remodels and people moving in or downsizing all produce debris. A roll-off dumpster is the simplest way to deal with it in one shot.

Every rate on this page is a flat price that includes delivery, pickup, the listed disposal tonnage and a 10-day rental. There is no separate fuel charge or delivery fee. Need the box longer? Extra days are billed at a flat daily rate that we quote when you book, and monthly or long-term pricing is available for contractors and property managers who keep a dumpster on site for months at a time. Dumpster rental across Marion County

Marion County has five incorporated municipalities (Ocala, Belleview, Dunnellon, McIntosh and Reddick) and dozens of unincorporated communities that most people think of as towns. We serve all of them. Here is what to know about getting a roll-off dropped in each area.

• Ocala – the county seat and our home base. Inside city limits, a dumpster placed in the street or right-of-way goes through the City of Ocala Transportation Engineering Division, not the county (details below). Older homes near downtown often have narrow drives, so tell us what you are working with and we will size the box to the space.
• Belleview – its own municipality on US 441 south of Ocala, with a mix of older in-town lots and newer subdivisions. Check with the city before placing a box on a public street; driveway placement needs nothing.
• Dunnellon – southwest corner at the Rainbow and Withlacoochee rivers. Riverfront and older homes in town can have sandy, sloped drives; tell us where the firm ground is and we will set the box there. The county's Dunnellon recycling center at 4232 S. US Hwy 41 takes electronics and up to 5 passenger tires a day, items we cannot take in a roll-off.
• Silver Springs Shores – large unincorporated subdivision southeast of Ocala. Easy access and a short drive from our yard, so same-day delivery is routine here.
• Marion Oaks – south county, with plenty of new construction on infill lots. Builders here frequently keep a 30 or 40 yard on a monthly rate through framing and drywall.
• Summerfield – US 441 / US 301 corridor with many 55+ and gated communities. Ask your HOA where it wants the dumpster placed and how long it can sit before you book. Our 55+ downsizing guide covers what to ask.
• The Villages (Marion County side) – the northern part of The Villages falls in Marion County. Short driveways make the 10 and 15 yard the usual choice; confirm placement with your community before we arrive.
• Lady Lake – technically just across the Lake County line, but we serve it on the same truck routes as Summerfield and The Villages.
• Silver Springs and Ocklawaha – east of Ocala toward the Ocklawaha River and Lake Weir. Lake homes and older cottages with long sand drives; we will walk the approach with you by phone so the truck does not get stuck.
• Fort McCoy, Salt Springs, Citra, Orange Springs and the Forest – the rural northeast and Ocala National Forest communities. Longer haul, but same flat rates. Many properties are on unpaved roads; a firm, level spot near the road is all we need.
• Reddick, McIntosh, Orange Lake and Anthony – north county horse-farm and small-town area. Barn cleanouts and fence tear-outs are the common jobs; treated lumber and fencing go in the box, but livestock and contaminated soil are refused by the county landfill and we cannot take them either.
• Blitchton, Fellowship and the west side – US 27 / SR 40 west toward Williston. Acreage properties with plenty of room; a 30 or 40 yard fits easily.
• Weirsdale and Lake Weir – south-east near the lake, mix of retirees and older lake homes. The Weirsdale recycling center on SE 164th St accepts electronics, which are better dropped there than in a dumpster.

Same-day and roll-off delivery in Marion County

Because our yard is on NE Jacksonville Rd in Ocala, we are never far from a Marion County delivery address. Orders placed early in the day can usually go out the same day, especially for Ocala, Silver Springs Shores, Belleview and Summerfield. The far northeast (Salt Springs, Fort McCoy) and Dunnellon can take a little longer depending on where the trucks already are. Call (352) 581-2576 and we will give you a real window, not a guess.

Roll-off delivery means the truck backs into your driveway and slides the box off its rails, so we need a straight run for the truck and enough overhead clearance for the bed to tilt; keep an eye out for low branches and power lines. On Marion County's sandy soils, a paved or packed-limerock drive is ideal; if your only option is grass, tell us and we will lay boards under the rails to protect the yard. Placement in a public street inside the City of Ocala or on a county right-of-way needs a permit first (see below). Construction, residential and commercial dumpsters in Marion County

Construction dumpsters

New builds in Marion Oaks, Silver Springs Shores and the Ocala growth corridors generate a steady flow of lumber, drywall, roofing and packaging. Our 30 and 40 yard boxes on a monthly rate are the workhorses for general contractors. Construction and demolition waste is not accepted at the county recycling centers, so a dedicated roll-off that goes straight to a licensed facility is the practical way to keep a site clean. Heavy loads (concrete, brick, tile, dirt) belong in a 10 yard filled partially so the truck can legally lift it.

Residential dumpsters

Garage and shed cleanouts, estate sales, storm debris, roofing and kitchen or bath remodels make up most of our homeowner work. A 15 or 20 yard in the driveway covers nearly all of it. Marion County does not offer curbside pickup; residents of unincorporated areas pay an annual solid waste assessment and use the county's recycling centers, but those centers cap household garbage at 180 gallons per day and refuse construction debris, concrete, pallets and toilets. For anything beyond that allowance, a dumpster is the practical answer.

Commercial dumpsters

Retail buildouts, office cleanouts, restaurant renovations and property-management turnovers. Businesses do not pay the county assessment and are not allowed to dispose at the recycling centers at all; commercial waste goes to the Baseline Landfill by the ton. Marion County disposal: Baseline Landfill

Every roll-off we haul in Marion County ends up at a licensed facility, most often the county's Baseline Landfill and Transfer Station at 5601 SE 66th St., Ocala, FL 34480 (352-671-8465). Knowing what Baseline charges helps you see where the value in a flat-rate dumpster comes from.

• Hours: Monday–Saturday 7 a.m.–5 p.m.; closed Sunday. The Baseline Recycling Center on the same site is open Monday–Thursday and Saturday 7–5, Friday 7–7 and Sunday 9–5.
• Flat-rate self-haul fees (vehicles without trailers, no tires): cars $10; trucks, vans and SUVs $20. Minimum charge $10.
• Scale fees (trailers, box trucks, commercial vehicles): household garbage, furniture, commercial and construction/demolition waste $3.25 per 100 lbs, or $65 per ton; yard waste $48 per ton; appliances and metals $60 per ton; passenger and commercial tires $165 per ton (small tires $3 each, truck tires $10 each); special handling $110 per ton. All loads must be secured under county ordinance.
• Not accepted anywhere in the county system: asbestos, boats, concrete, contaminated soil, deceased pets or livestock, dirt, rocks and sod, power poles, RVs and mobile homes, sludge and abrasive grit.

For clean concrete, brick, dirt and other materials the county no longer accepts, Marion County points haulers to private facilities that take construction and demolition debris: Bayside Landfill (4371 SE 73rd St.), Cypress Acres Landfill (7424 NE 33rd Court), Friends Recycling (2350 NW 27th Ave.) and Southside Materials (4980 SE 92nd Place). City of Ocala vs unincorporated county: permits and placement

No permit is needed to put a dumpster on your own driveway or private property anywhere in Marion County. Permits come into play only when the box sits on a public street, sidewalk or right-of-way, and who you ask depends on which side of the city line you are on.

• City of Ocala: right-of-way permit applications are handled by the Transportation Engineering Division through the city's online permitting portal or in person at the Growth Management Department, 201 SE 3rd Street, 2nd Floor. Portal help line: 352-629-8421.
• Unincorporated Marion County: the county requires right-of-way utilization permits for all temporary private uses of public rights-of-way, processed by the Office of the County Engineer Customer Service Center, 412 SE 25th Ave., Ocala (satellite office at Growth Services, 2710 E. Silver Springs Blvd.), phone 352-671-8686.
• Belleview, Dunnellon, McIntosh and Reddick: each municipality handles its own streets; call the town hall before you book a street placement.
• HOAs and 55+ communities: no government permit, but deed restrictions in Summerfield, The Villages and many Ocala subdivisions can govern where and how long a dumpster sits. Get your HOA's answer in writing before delivery.

What you can and cannot put in a Marion County dumpster

General household junk, furniture, appliances (with refrigerant handled properly), lumber, drywall, roofing, flooring, cabinets, yard debris and most remodel waste all go in the box. Because the county landfill will not take them, we cannot accept asbestos, contaminated soil, boats, RVs or mobile homes, power poles, dead animals or sludge. Tires, paint, batteries, propane tanks, chemicals and other household hazardous waste need to go to the appropriate county recycling center instead; the county limits HHW to 15 gallons or 100 lbs per household per month. Electronics are accepted at the Baseline, Dunnellon, Forest Corners, Fort McCoy, Martel, Newton and Weirsdale centers.
