City address or county address — what actually changes

For most rentals: nothing. If the dumpster sits on your own driveway, pad or pasture, it's on private property and a permit is generally not required anywhere in Marion County — city limits or not. The distinction only matters when the can has to sit in the public right-of-way. On a county-maintained road in unincorporated Marion, that's a conversation with Marion County; inside Ocala, Belleview, Dunnellon, McIntosh or Reddick, it's that city's rules instead. One county-specific wrinkle worth knowing: several of Marion's biggest communities — Silver Springs Shores, Marion Oaks, the big 55+ developments along the SR 200 corridor — are unincorporated but deed-restricted. The county won't ask for a permit on your driveway, but your association may have rules about how long a container stays visible. Where your debris goes

Nearly everything we haul in this county runs to the Marion County Baseline Landfill at 5601 SE 66th St in Ocala, open Monday through Saturday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. If you've ever taken a truckload there yourself, you know the routine: the scale line, the per-load charge, the drive back for the next load. That round trip is what a roll-off replaces — your flat rate already includes the disposal tonnage, so one delivery and one pickup covers what would otherwise be a week of landfill runs from the far side of the county.

Two things still can't ride in a roll-off: hazardous materials and everyday recyclables you'd rather divert. Paint, chemicals, motor oil, tires and batteries belong at the county's Household Hazardous Waste collection at the Baseline Landfill — most HHW drop-offs are free for residents. Cardboard, paper, plastics and metal cans can go to the county's recycling drop-off centers scattered across the area, so you don't have to drive to the landfill for the small stuff. Rural Marion: barns, acreage and horse country

A lot of dumpster companies quote you a city rate and then hesitate when the address turns out to be a grass lane off CR 315. We don't. Ocklawaha down by Lake Weir, Fort McCoy on the edge of the Ocala National Forest, Citra and Reddick up the 301 and 441 corridors, Anthony, Weirsdale — we deliver to all of it, at the same rates, on the same trucks. Rural cleanups are some of our favorite work because one big can genuinely changes the project: a barn that's been collecting for twenty years, a fence line coming down, an inherited farmhouse and its outbuildings, storm-dropped oak limbs across five acres.

Horse properties are their own category in this county, and we load out plenty of them — rotten board fencing, stall doors and mats, feed-room and tack-room cleanouts, old run-in sheds. Two practical notes from experience. First, ground matters: the truck is heavy, and soft or freshly wet pasture can rut or bog. A gravel pad, packed drive or dry firm ground is the right spot, and we put boards down wherever the can lands. Second, overhead matters: the truck tilts its bed up to roll the container off, so flag low limbs, gate arches and power lines when you book and we'll pick a spot that works on the first attempt, not the third.

Same-day zones, honestly

Marion County is big, so we'd rather be straight about delivery windows than promise everyone "same-day" and quietly miss half of them. In and around the Ocala core — Ocala, Silver Springs Shores, Belleview, Summerfield, Anthony — same-day delivery is realistic most days if you book in the morning. Out at the county's far corners — Fort McCoy, Citra, Ocklawaha, Dunnellon, the south end of Marion Oaks, and all the way out to Salt Springs — plan on next-day as the norm, with same-day possible when a truck is already working that direction. Either way, you'll get a real window when you book, not a shrug.
